Book donations to The New York Public Library Correctional Services

Sept 2019
We were pleased to be able to contribute Two Dollar Radio books to the NYPL.
For over 20 years, NYPL has offered services to support incarcerated New Yorkers and their families by ensuring they have a supportive network of information and services available for them to rebuild their lives upon coming home to their communities. To do this, NYPL staff provide a range of service that includes circulating books in five of the city jails; reference service and resource referral, weekly book clubs, and early literacy programs that enable incarcerated parents to send their children recordings of themselves reading books. These services can be crucial, especially for communities strongly affected by incarceration. Reading can provide a lifeline and book donations can help support that, especially where reading materials are in such high demand. To learn more about NYPL’s Correctional Services and how you can help as well, visit their website at nypl.org/corrections.
